The Saunders Indian Cord Matt, introduced in 1944, was the first to be machine wound and the first to use a tough, durable prairie grass known as Spartan. Using this grass from our own meadow, each matt is wound, covered with resilient natural burlap and hand sewn by skilled craftsmen. Still considered the premier tournament and hunter practice matt, its quality and durability have withstood the tests of time. Most archers use our matt for its longevity, its economy and its traditional appeal. Top archers use our matt to reveal their bow's tune because it holds the arrow at its flight angle. This tuning trick works even better with fletch less arrows. It's no wonder you find Saunders Matts in the back yards of professional archers the world over.

Those of you who have shot the Atlantic City Classic, the Vegas Tournament or NFAA nationals have experienced the smooth, clean feel of pulling your arrows from our matt. Whether shooting a classic straight bow or the fastest compound, with affordable pricing, this beautiful tradition of archery is easy to own.
This is an oversized product and you will be emailed the additional shipping charges for authorization!  The target is dropped shipped from the manufacturer but because of it's size, it must be shipped via truck.  This method of shipping is very expensive.  The cost of shipping this item ranges from around $60 to $100.00 plus $20 if it a residential delivery.  The 36" matt can be shipped by UPS at a more reasonable cost.
